AP/AR Specialist

Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. Our team is looking for an AP/AR Specialist who is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures compliance with company policies and supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.

To be considered for the AP/AR Specialist opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting or finance preferred).
• 2+ years of accounts receivable/payable or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and tie management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

As an AP/AR Specialist , you will:

• Review, verify, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
• Enter and maintain accurate vendor and transaction records in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Support the larger AP & AR team.
• Record cash receipts.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Compensation Pay Range

$26-$30/hour, depending on experience.
