AP/AR Specialist

Basic Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Controller, this role will ensure the timely collection of payments while maintaining accurate financial records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor Accounts Payable/Receivable for all company accounts and invoices, including light collection work.
• Track and reconcile financial transactions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize different software systems to manage financial data, generate reports, and streamline processes.
• Identify and rectify errors in invoices, working collaboratively with teams to ensure accuracy.
• Records payments and reconciles remittance advices.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audits and prepare reports.
• Maintain accurate records of all AP/AR transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to client facilities regarding billing inquiries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as an AP/AR specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks and MS Office (especially Excel). Proprietary software is used.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting. Comply with GAAP and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
