Buffalo Grove, IL | $30–$38/Hour | Immediate Start | Contract Through February

Looking for your next accounting opportunity? We’re seeking an experienced AP/AR Specialist who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. This is an immediate-start contract position through the end of February , ideal for someone with a strong accounts payable background, working knowledge of accounts receivable, and the confidence to work independently with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing and three-way matching
• Prepare check runs and electronic payments
• Process and post customer payments and maintain cash collection records
• Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and assist with collections
• Process customer deposit refunds
• Complete monthly liability account reconciliations
• Utilize Excel to analyze ERP reports and support financial reporting
• Assist with month-end close activities as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable, with a stronger AP background preferred
• Hands-on experience with three-way matching required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and formulas
• ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma required; some college coursework in accounting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
• A proactive mindset and the ability to step in and manage responsibilities with minimal direction
