Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer focused Apartment Maintenance Technician to join or team. This position is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and property grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to resident satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform repairs and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, appliances, carpentry, drywall and painting, doors, locks and windows
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and amenities in excellent condition
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping and property upkeep as needed
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on-call rotation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities
• Work professionally with residents, vendors, and team members

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
