Apartment Maintenance Technician

About us: We are a small, family-owned property management business that manages multiple apartment complexes and commercial properties in the greater Seattle area. We are looking to hire both entry-level and experienced maintenance technicians with pay commensurate with experience and responsibility level.

Schedule: Flexible hours, approximately 9-5 PM, Monday through Friday; on-call one weekend a month for emergencies such as leaks.

Duties may include:

• Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, and interior painting.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: electrical repairs (if in possession of a WS Electrical License), minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall and cleaning.
• Address and follow up as necessary on work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Show apartments to prospective tenants.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies to ensure prompt repair and replacement of various items.
• Perform walk through of property as needed to ensure that immediate maintenance and custodial issues are attended to in a timely fashion. Walk through inspections should also include preventative maintenance to safeguard against foreseeable maintenance issues.
• Perform or schedule maintenance on all systems of the properties including, but not limited to HVAC, boilers and elevators.
• Some custodial duties may also be required including but not limited to; trash pick-up and removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, pressure washing and other various cleaning tasks.
• Assist with oversight and training of entry-level staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
