API Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer / SDET to join our engineering team and ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our cloud-based SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API and integration testing, test automation, and Agile methodologies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. Candidates who have leveraged AI-powered tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT for automation, test development, debugging, and productivity improvements will be highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test strategies for complex SaaS applications.
• Create and maintain robust test cases, test plans, and automation scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform API, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute existing automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and debug test failures, providing clear and actionable defect reports.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, UX Designers, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize defects and improve overall product quality.
• Validate backend systems and data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality engineering initiatives.
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, testing processes, and release quality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Software Testing roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in API and Integration Testing using automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud-based or SaaS products.
• Proficiency in SQL and database validation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development practices.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
• Experience using Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar AI-assisted development tools for automation scripting, test case creation, debugging, and productivity enhancement will be a significant advantage.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
