API QA Engineer – Manual Testing with Automation Experience

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced API QA Engineer with strong manual API testing expertise and working knowledge of automation tools to validate enterprise APIs and integrations.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

* Strong hands-on experience in manual API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.

* Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP methods.

* Validate API requests, responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling.

* Strong knowledge of API testing concepts, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

* Experience with Microsoft Azure services and Azure Data Factory (ADF) testing.

* Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile workflows.

* Strong SQL skills for backend data validation and database testing.

* Working knowledge of API automation tools such as Postman/Newman, Rest Assured, or Karate.

* Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and authentication mechanisms.

* Experience with regression, functional, negative, and integration testing.

* Collaborate with developers and business teams to troubleshoot API issues.

* Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred: Experience testing MuleSoft APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, and basic Java or JavaScript scripting.

Focus: 75% Manual API Testing / 25% Automation.

Note: CI/CD experience is not required for this role.
