The Purpose of This Role

We are looking for a dynamic and highly talented individual to play a key technical role in WI QA group. Role primarily involves carrying out testing through QA Automation and expertise in Java and webservices testing. You will be working directly with other Software Developers, Architects and business stakeholders to translate vision and designs into sustainable business solutions. You will be responsible for the development of test automation solution for complex software applications, ensuring they are built with quality, consistency to our standards, performance and responsive to the device accessing the application.

• Solid understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution, and planning
• Translate business and systems requirements into technical requirements for automation and software tools.
• Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and software tools.
• Actively contribute in the day-to-day planning, design, execution, and reporting of automation
• Follows software engineering principals in development of automation and software.
• Understand and apply test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities developed by self and others.
• Deliver accurate and maintainable code for automation and software utilities.
• Collaborate with other technical resources to:
• Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
• Design and develop automation and software tools.
• Understand requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• 6 - 9 years experience in software test/ Quality Engineering
• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
• Strong analytical skills and high aptitude to learn and adapt to new processes
• Expertise in Core Java Programming and excellent in OOPs concepts.
• Hands on expertise in Webservices Testing (REST & SOAP)
• Hands on Experience in Automation frame works, Playwright
• Proficient in designing and maintaining generic class functions/common utilities in automation framework using Java.
• Hands on experience in Rest Assured

Good to have Skills:

• Very Strong in Database testing and hands-on experience is building SQL queries required for ETL Database, Data warehouse testing and data validations.
• Can effectively debug and test own automation code, software code, and SQL.
• Experience in report validation using tools like OBIEE, Tableau,etc
