What they need
Job Summary
You will be responsible for maintaining healthy bee colonies, ensuring the safety and productivity of apiary operations, and supporting the overall health of our hives.
Duties
- Perform regular inspections of bee colonies to monitor hive health, honey production, and pest control needs
- Maintain and repair hive equipment, including frames, boxes
- Assist with hive relocations and setup of new apiary sites, ensuring proper placement for optimal bee activity
- Handle heavy lifting of hive components, honey supers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate farm machinery such as forklifts, automated honey extractor, and other related beekeeping equipment
- Medicate honey colonies if needed
Experience/Skills
- At least 2 years working in commercial honey operation
This position may require some evening and weekend work. All applicants must be physically fit, able to work in a fast paced team environment and able to work in the presence of and not allergic to bees.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
Work Location: In person
