Role Descriptions:

We are seeking a highly experienced Apigee Hybrid Migration Lead / Technical Architect to own the end-to-end migration program from Apigee Edge to Apigee Hybrid. The candidate will be responsible for architecture, planning, implementation, cutover, go-live, and post-migration stabilization, ensuring a secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available API management platform.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid, OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), along with strong customer-facing technical leadership and complete accountability for project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end Apigee Edge-to-Hybrid migration program, from architecture and planning through implementation, go-live, and stabilization.
• Serve as the primary customer point of contact and technical leader, taking full accountability for delivery, technical decisions, and project outcomes.
• Define the target architecture and migration strategy for Apigee Hybrid across GCP and OCP/Kubernetes environments.
• Identify and drive migration prerequisites, infrastructure dependencies, architecture decisions, readiness criteria, cutover planning, and validation activities.
• Lead cross-functional teams across GCP, OCP, networking, security, IAM, Akamai/WAF, DevOps, infrastructure, and observability.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available API management solutions.
• Ensure appropriate implementation of OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/mTLS, and enterprise identity and access management integrations.
• Provide architectural oversight for API proxies, shared flows, environment configurations, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Helm, and automation.
• Drive monitoring, logging, alerting, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
• Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and blockers, and drive them through resolution.
• Lead customer architecture workshops, migration-readiness assessments, technical reviews, and governance meetings.
• Coordinate migration testing, traffic cutover, API validation, rollback planning, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Ensure the migrated platform aligns with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, availability, and operational standards.
• Communicate complex technical issues, architectural decisions, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to customer stakeholders and leadership.
