Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Apigee development, API management, runtime administration, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and production support.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining platform stability, automating deployments, supporting certification activities, and managing production incidents in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Apigee API proxies and platform components.
• Manage Apigee runtime environments, configurations, deployments, and platform administration.
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployments and platform releases.
• Support platform certification, validation, compliance, and release readiness activities.
• Handle production outages, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
• Monitor API performance, platform health, availability, and operational stability.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and deployment automation.
• Implement operational best practices for platform governance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Apigee development and API proxy implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee runtime management and platform operations.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Understanding of API lifecycle management and environment configuration.
• Experience with platform certification, validation, and release support.
• Strong production support, outage management, and incident troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with monitoring, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of scripting and operational automation.
• Exposure to enterprise integration and API management frameworks.
• Experience supporting high-availability enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant IT experience, with strong hands-on Apigee expertise.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in any of these locations Raleigh, Charlotte, or Atlanta.
