  • Review initial design tech packs and ensure construction and technical details are complete and production-ready.
  • Lead fit sessions and evaluate garments for t, balance, proportion, construction, and functionality.
  • Own fit comments and technical corrections, updating tech packs and communicating clear direction to overseas teams.
  • Create, maintain, and update measurement specifications throughout development.
  • Establish and maintain grade rules and ensure accurate grading across size ranges.
  • Request and review patterns from factories as needed, identify pattern-related fit issues, and clearly communicate necessary corrections.
  • Evaluate development, fit, pre-production, and TOP samples and provide technical approvals and corrections.
  • Ensure fit, construction, pattern, and grading changes are accurately executed in subsequent samples.
  • Partner closely with Designers/Product Developers to maintain design intent while ensuring garments are technically sound and

production-ready.

  • Work directly with our China office and overseas factories to resolve construction, fit, pattern, grading, and manufacturing issues.
  • Proactively identify technical issues and provide solutions before they impact production timelines.
  • Help establish and maintain consistent fit standards, blocks, specifications, and grading across brands and product categories.
  • Ensure final production specifications and technical documentation are complete and accurate prior to production.
  • Manage technical development across multiple brands, product categories, and development calendars simultaneously.
  • Prioritize multiple projects and shift focus as business needs change while maintaining critical timelines.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–6+ years of apparel technical design experience.
  • Experience with both men's and women's apparel and multiple product categories preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, specifications, patternmaking, and grading.
  • Strong understanding of both woven and knit construction.
  • Ability to read and evaluate garment patterns and advise factories on necessary pattern corrections.
  • Experience conducting fit sessions and managing the fit process from development through production.
  • Strong knowledge of grade rules, tolerances, measurement standards, and production specifications.
  • Ability to translate design intent into technically accurate, production-ready garments.
  • Experience working directly with overseas factories and development teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and apparel tech packs.
  • Experience with PLM systems preferred; WFX experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a high volume of styles across multiple brands and calendars.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt quickly as development priorities change.
