Appian Developer

HCLTech is looking for an experienced Appian Developer to join a major digital transformation initiative in Germany. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Appian application design and development, with a proven track record of delivering business process management (BPM) solutions using modern Appian platforms.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing Appian applications while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable workflow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Appian BPM applications and workflows.
• Build and manage Process Models, Records, CDTs, Reports, and Sites.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and business processes.
• Configure user roles, security groups, and application permissions.
• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems and databases.
• Create and optimize database objects, queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous integration activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deliver solutions using Agile or Waterfall methodologies as required.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable application design.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Appian development experience.
• Appian Certified Lead Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer.
• Experience working with Appian version 20.x and above.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Process Models
• CDTs (Custom Data Types)
• Records
• Reports
• Site Design
• Experience with Appian integrations and integration objects.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience with database design, SQL optimization, views, and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of BPM concepts and process optimization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
