AppleCORE

Members will participate 1:1 with a volunteer experienced educator throughout their participation in AppleCORE and the RAP, allowing for modeling, mentoring, feedback, guided practice and gradual release of responsibilities to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary for early career success and positive impact on student outcomes. These two initiatives (AmeriCorps and RAPs) working concurrently through AppleCORE, provide a living stipend for AppleCORE service and employer paid wages for the RAP time and portion of responsibilities.

Member Duties : EDHUBNY Inc, through AppleCORE (Community of Rising Educators) will have 50 AmeriCorps members in multiple cities and rural areas across NYS including Buffalo, Hoosick Falls, Latham, NYC, Staatsburg and Utica. AmeriCorps members will serve with teachers, within their communities, to develop career readiness skills and improve student engagement as evidenced through school readiness of preschool students or K-12 student attendance. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will contribute to increased student engagement resulting in increased K-12 attendance or school readiness of preschool students in the classrooms they serve.
