Overview

Teks4U is hiring a reliable Appliance Installer to deliver, install, and service household appliances for customers in the [Birmingham, AL] area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens) at customer homes/businesses.
• Follow manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines
• Test installations to confirm proper function before leaving the job
• Provide basic customer walkthroughs on appliance use
• Troubleshoot minor installation issues
• Maintain accurate records of completed jobs
• Use power tools and hand tools efficiently to assemble and secure appliances during installation
• Operate company vehicles safely for transportation to customer locations and job sites
• Conduct electrical work, plumbing connections, and mechanical adjustments as needed to complete installations accurately
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on appliances when required, ensuring optimal performance
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process

Skills

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical labor
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior installation experience a plus, but not required
• Strong understanding of schematics and technical diagrams for appliance setup and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with ladder use and working at various heights safely during installations
• Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting
• Skilled in electrical work, plumbing connections, and the use of power tools and hand tools
• Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices within residential or commercial settings
• Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety protocols
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems and electrical experience related to appliance functionality
• Experience in assembly processes and equipment repair to ensure appliances are installed correctly and efficiently

Pay: $16.00 per hour
