Appliance Service Technician

Job Summary

Appliance Care of Atlanta is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Appliance Service Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair household appliances. The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe and professional service. This position requires hands-on work and clear communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspect household appliances to identify service, maintenance, and repair needs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using appropriate troubleshooting methods.
• Perform appliance repairs, adjustments, maintenance, and component replacements as needed.
• Test appliances after service to confirm proper operation and performance.
• Identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components and determine appropriate service solutions.
• Safely use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and other service tools.
• Install, replace, and adjust appliance components according to established procedures.
• Explain service findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
• Provide courteous and helpful customer service during service appointments.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, service calls, repairs, and parts used.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Monitor replacement parts and supplies and communicate inventory needs.
• Report unexpected technical issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
• Complete assigned service calls efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Perform other appliance service and technical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in appliance repair, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or technical service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of household appliances and mechanical or electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and safety procedures.

Pay: $24.11 - $25.31 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
