Appliance Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Appliance Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential appliances. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on appliances
• Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnosis, repair options, and costs
• Order and replace defective parts as needed
• Complete service reports, invoices, and documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory
• Provide professional, courteous, and timely customer service
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required
• Appliance repair training, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and diagnostics
• Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy appliances and work in tight spaces
• MUST pass all drug tests requested

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent travel to customer locations
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs
• Standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing as required
• Exposure to electrical components and moving parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
