Appliance Service Worker

Job Summary

Local Appliance Repair is seeking a dependable, hands-on, and customer-focused Appliance Service Worker to support daily appliance repair and service operations. This role assists with inspections, troubleshooting, repair preparation, parts handling, equipment organization, and maintaining a professional customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspecting household appliances to identify service and maintenance needs.
• Support technicians with routine appliance repair and service tasks.
• Help troubleshoot common appliance issues under appropriate supervision.
• Prepare tools, equipment, replacement parts, and supplies for service appointments.
• Assist with installing, replacing, and adjusting appliance components as directed.
• Test appliances after service to help confirm proper operation.
• Handle tools and service equipment safely and responsibly.
• Keep tools, work areas, and service equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with loading, transporting, and organizing tools and appliance parts.
• Communicate professionally with customers during service visits.
• Help maintain accurate records of service work and parts used.
• Monitor supplies and report inventory needs to the appropriate team member.
• Follow company procedures, service guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
• Report damaged parts, equipment concerns, or unexpected service issues promptly.
• Perform other appliance service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous appliance repair, maintenance, installation, construction, or technical service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical or technical knowledge is helpful.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and service equipment.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable performing hands-on duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving equipment as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
