Appliance Technician

Position Summary:

T47 International is seeking an experienced and dependable Appliance Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and commercial appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing-related appliance issues.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and scheduled repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Install, replace, and test appliances according to manufacturer specifications and applicable safety requirements.
• Identify and replace defective components, including motors, pumps, heating elements, thermostats, and control boards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records documenting repairs, inspections, parts used, and completed work orders.
• Coordinate with supervisors to identify replacement parts, order materials, and prioritize repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow OSHA requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable safety procedures.
• Support additional facility maintenance and renovation activities as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in appliance installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Experience servicing refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and basic plumbing systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or relevant certifications preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred for applicable refrigeration work.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding maintenance tasks.
• Must provide personal hand tools; specialized equipment will be provided as needed.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $29.03
• Health & Welfare (H&W): $8.38 per hour
