Application Developer

We are currently seeking a Applications Developer. The position is fully onsite in Frankfort, KY. Candidate must be currently local and able to work onsite in Kentucky.

We are seeking an Applications Developer to design, develop, test, and support business applications for a state government organization. This role will work with users and technical teams to build solutions that meet complex business and system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and application requirements.
• Design, develop, customize, and implement applications and systems.
• Write, test, debug, and document computer programs.
• Develop and support graphical user interfaces.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and recommend improvements.
• Work with relational databases and SQL.
• Maintain technical documentation and coding standards.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and other technical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with application design and software development.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing graphical user interfaces.
• Understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience writing and working with SQL.
• Knowledge of coding, testing, debugging, and documentation practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with complex business applications.
• Familiarity with multiple operating systems.
• Experience supporting applications in a government or enterprise environment.
