Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to support configuration, development, testing, debugging, and production support of a COTS application.

The selected candidate will perform requirements gathering and analysis, application configuration, reference table configuration, user access setup, application development for change requests, scripting, software debugging, source control, application testing, implementation specifications, and production application support.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of both traditional and Agile software development methodologies, coding standards, and development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Preferred fields include Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics.
• Minimum 2 years of SQL database experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Object-Oriented development experience with .NET, Java, C#, VB, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with web services.
• Familiarity with APIs.
• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of SQL Stored Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze application and business requirements.
• Configure application functionality and reference tables.
• Set up users and configure appropriate access permissions.
• Develop and implement application changes.
• Perform scripting and software debugging.
• Maintain source code and follow source control practices.
• Conduct application testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Prepare implementation specifications and technical documentation.
• Provide production application support.
• Work with business and technical teams to identify and resolve application issues.
• Follow Agile and traditional software development methodologies.
• Apply coding standards and software development best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Local Georgia candidates only.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card/Permanent Resident.
• OPT, CPT, and EAD candidates are not eligible.
• Must be able to obtain and provide the required Georgia Tax Clearance Letter at the time of submission.
• Must be compliant with Georgia tax obligations.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Fingerprinting is required.
• Candidates with overdue and unpaid taxes are not eligible.
• Candidates with felony convictions, regardless of when they occurred, are not eligible.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2+ years of SQL database experience.
• 2+ years of Object-Oriented development experience.
• Experience with .NET, Java, C#, VB, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
