Job Summary

We are seeking an Application Developer I to support the configuration, development, testing, and maintenance of a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) application and its associated modules and subsystems.

The selected candidate will work across application configuration, requirements analysis, scripting, debugging, testing, source control, and production application support. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who has a strong foundation in software development and is eager to learn and grow in an enterprise application environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze application and business requirements.
• Perform application configuration and reference-table configuration.
• Configure user accounts, roles, and access permissions.
• Develop application enhancements and change requests.
• Perform scripting and application debugging.
• Maintain and manage source code using source control practices.
• Develop and execute application test cases.
• Prepare implementation and technical specifications.
• Provide production application support and troubleshooting.
• Follow established software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices.
• Work effectively in both traditional and Agile development environments.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify and resolve application issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with SQL databases.
• At least 2 years of experience with object-oriented development, such as .NET, Java, C#, or VB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of software development methodologies and coding best practices.
• Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and application platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with web services.
• Familiarity with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL stored procedures.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will contribute to application configuration, development, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing production support. You will work with a variety of technical and business stakeholders while gaining hands-on experience with enterprise application development and support.

Work Environment

• Onsite position in the Atlanta, GA area.
• Contract opportunity with an expected duration of 8+ months.
• Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative enterprise application development environment.

Pay: $46.50 - $46.59 per hour
