About Marou
Marou Faiseurs de Chocolat is one of the first Bean-to-Bar chocolate makers in Asia. Since 2011, we have been committed to “Tasting Good and Doing Good.” Marou is the dream child of two French men who made Vietnam their home, creating the purest “terroir” dark chocolate from 100% locally sourced ingredients in Southern Vietnam. With the traditional know-how of French chocolate makers, our vision is to become the #1 vertically integrated chocolate maker and retailer in Asia and the Pride of Vietnam, offering exceptional chocolate experiences. We are a values-based, purpose-driven company dedicated to crafting the finest award-winning artisanal chocolates from the best Vietnamese ingredients.
Role Purpose
Marou is strengthening its digital operating capabilities to support business growth, operational efficiency, and scalable ways of working. The Digital Transformation & IT team builds, integrates, operates, and continuously improves business applications supporting retail, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, traceability, e-commerce, and corporate functions.
The Application Developer develops, integrates, tests, deploys, and maintains technical solutions across Marou’s ERP and business application ecosystem. During the initial phase in 2026 and early 2027, the role focuses on ERP technical development, APIs, middleware, system interfaces, and supporting applications connecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS Central/POS, databases, e-commerce, traceability, finance, and third-party platforms. The position works closely with Business Application leads, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure reliable data flow, reduce dependency on external development resources, strengthen internal technical capability, and support business continuity.
Role positioning
Hands-on development role with ownership from technical design through deployment and support.
Complements functional/business application roles; it does not own business process approval or master-data governance.
Expected to create reusable, documented, supportable solutions rather than one-off fixes.
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP & Supporting Application Development
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ERP extensions, custom applications, utilities, services, and supporting applications based on approved business and technical requirements.
- Develop technical solutions supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS Central/POS, and connected business applications using approved development technologies.
- Build supporting applications that simplify user interaction with ERP processes, improve operational usability, and reduce manual data handling without duplicating core ERP functionality.
- Build reusable technical components, libraries, connectors, and development patterns to accelerate delivery and simplify long-term maintenance.
2. API, Middleware & System Integration
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, scheduled jobs, middleware components, and data interfaces connecting ERP, POS, staging databases, e-commerce, traceability, finance, and third-party systems.
- Support integration flows involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS Central/POS, databases, and external partner platforms.
- Implement validation, error handling, logging, monitoring, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation controls for integrations.
- Work with vendors and system owners to clarify interface specifications, troubleshoot defects, and complete technical handover.
3. Software Development Lifecycle & Quality
- Follow an agreed software development lifecycle covering requirements validation, technical design, development, peer review, testing, release, and post-deployment support.
- Manage source code and solution versions in an approved repository; maintain clear change history and deployment records.
- Prepare unit tests and support SIT/UAT, defect resolution, regression testing, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Apply secure coding, least-privilege access, environment separation, backup, rollback, and release-control practices in coordination with IT security and application owners.
4. Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide Level-2 technical support for assigned applications and integrations, including root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for recurring incidents.
- Monitor application and interface health, proactively identify risks, and recommend performance, reliability, security, and cost improvements.
- Support critical business periods, rollouts, store/factory deployments, and onsite troubleshooting when remote support is insufficient.
- Contribute to technical debt reduction, platform standardization, and a scalable application architecture.
5. Documentation, Handover & Collaboration
- Create and maintain technical specifications, architecture diagrams, API/interface documents, configuration records, deployment guides, support runbooks, and release notes.
- Provide clear handover and knowledge transfer to internal support teams, key users, and vendors.
- Collaborate with Business Application, BI/Data, Infrastructure & Security, and business functions to ensure solutions deliver measurable operational value.
- Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and delivered outcomes in a concise and timely manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in ERP development, application development, system integration, API development, or equivalent software engineering work.
- Practical development experience with .NET/C#, AL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or another relevant enterprise development stack.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, SQL databases, data mapping, integration troubleshooting, and error logging.
- Understanding of source control, testing, deployment, environment management, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently while collaborating across technical and business teams.
- Able to read and produce English technical documentation and communicate with external partners when required.
PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV, LS Central/POS, e-commerce, finance, traceability, WMS/MES, or other enterprise applications.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, or similar cloud integration services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, solution packaging, monitoring, application security, and performance optimization.
- Experience in retail, F&B, FMCG, manufacturing, or an international operating environment.
- Microsoft certifications in Azure or Dynamics 365 are an advantage.
Working time: Monday - Friday
Working Location: Green Building, 160 Street B2, An Khanh Ward, HCMC.
