Application Developer

Sikka Software is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business operations and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming foundation, experience with application development, and the ability to build reliable software solutions that integrate with databases, APIs, and other systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement application features, improve existing functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain software quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot software defects and resolve application performance issues.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure application reliability.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow coding standards.
• Support application updates, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of application development, databases, and software testing.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a technical team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing web-based or business applications.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data integration.
• Knowledge of cloud services and application deployment.
• Experience with automated testing and debugging tools.
• Understanding of software security, performance optimization, and coding best practices.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
