Application Developer – Customer Information Systems (CIS)

Location: Bridgetowne, Quezon City, Metro Manila
Work Setup: Hybrid — 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH every Friday
Schedule: Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an Application Developer to develop, configure, test, deploy, document, and support a business-critical Customer Information System (CIS). The role begins with structured training and supervised delivery, progressing toward independent ownership of assigned application components, configurations, integrations, and support activities.

Candidates with experience in enterprise applications, transaction-heavy systems, backend development, APIs, or database-driven solutions are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete structured training in CIS concepts, utility customer operations, billing and rating, application configuration, integrations, testing, and support procedures.
• Translate approved requirements and technical designs into application code, configurations, scripts, business rules, interfaces, and test cases.
• Develop and maintain application components and integrations using approved tools, APIs, coding standards, and reusable patterns.
• Perform unit and configuration testing and support integration, regression, user acceptance, billing accuracy, and production verification testing.
• Investigate defects and incidents using application logs, SQL queries, traces, data validation, and documented troubleshooting procedures.
• Document technical specifications, data mappings, test evidence, deployment and rollback procedures, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Support controlled releases, configuration migration, data fixes, cutover activities, stabilization, and ongoing application support.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, business analysts, and operational teams to deliver reliable application changes.

Required Experience

• Relevant experience in application development, software engineering, integration development, or database-driven systems; junior candidates with relevant projects or internships may be considered.
• Experience or foundational knowledge in enterprise application development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to standard software development, build, test, deployment, and source control practices.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience with billing, payments, CRM, ERP, customer accounts, metering, batch processing, or high-volume transaction systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, messaging, ETL, API gateways, or production support.
• Experience in banking, telecommunications, insurance, retail, e-commerce, or other transaction-intensive industries.
• Utility billing or customer operations knowledge.
• Relevant certifications, internships, capstone projects, or production-quality development portfolios.

Required Skills

• Object-Oriented Programming: Working knowledge of C#/.NET, Java, or a comparable enterprise programming language.
• SQL & Relational Databases: Joins, filtering, aggregation, data validation, and relational database fundamentals.
• API Integration & Troubleshooting: REST APIs, JSON/XML, debugging, error handling, application logs, and defect investigation.
