Application Developer-IT Automation

About the Role

We are looking for an Automation & Integration Engineer to design and build automation solutions that connect disparate systems and deliver smooth, efficient end-to-end workflows. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable integrations using Ansible, ServiceNow, GitHub, and API-based tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to integrate disparate systems and enable end-to-end workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions using Ansible, ServiceNow, GitHub, and related tools
• Create and maintain API-based integrations between platforms
• Write Python scripts and custom logic within Ansible playbooks
• Test and document all integration processes, design decisions, and developed solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve system integration and workflow issues, ensuring high performance and security
• Continuously monitor and analyze the efficiency of integrated solutions, proposing and implementing improvements
• Participate in regular review sessions with IT peers to discuss designs, share knowledge, and align on best practices

Required Qualifications

• [X]+ years of experience in automation, integration, or DevOps engineering
• Hands-on experience with Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories, collections)
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST APIs, workflows, Flow Designer, Integration Hub)
• Strong Python scripting skills
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs (JSON, authentication, webhooks)
• Proficiency with GitHub and Git-based workflows
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to document technical solutions clearly
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform / AWX
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of API security (OAuth 2.0, tokens, certificates)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Linux administration
• ITIL knowledge and Agile/Scrum experience
• Ansible or ServiceNow certification
