Job Title: Application Developer SAP ABAP HANA

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer – SAP ABAP HANA to develop, enhance, and support SAP applications on the SAP HANA platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ABAP on HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, OData Services, Fiori integration, and performance optimization. The role involves designing technical solutions, developing custom applications, integrating SAP systems, and providing production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP on HANA.

• Develop and enhance SAP S/4HANA solutions using modern ABAP programming techniques.

• Create and maintain:

• Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)

• Interfaces

• Enhancements

• Forms (Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAP Scripts)

• Conversions

• Workflows

• Develop and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views.

• Build ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) for high-performance database processing.

• Develop and consume OData Services for SAP Fiori applications.

• Create enhancements using User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework, and Implicit Enhancements.

• Develop interfaces using IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy, SOAP, and REST APIs.

• Perform code optimization and SQL performance tuning on SAP HANA databases.

• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD), Functional Specifications (FS), and technical documentation.

• Perform Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution.

• Support data migration activities using LSMW, Migration Cockpit, and custom migration programs.

• Provide production support, incident resolution, and post-go-live enhancements.

• Follow SAP development standards, transport management, and code review processes.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in ABAP on HANA development.

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.

• Expertise in:

• Core Data Services (CDS Views)

• AMDP

• SQL Script

• Open SQL

• Code Pushdown Techniques

• Experience with:

• OData Services

• SAP Gateway

• SAP Fiori Integration

• Strong knowledge of:

• Reports

• Experience with:

• BAPI

• RFC

• IDoc

• ALE

• Proxy

• REST & SOAP APIs

• Knowledge of SAP HANA performance tuning and optimization.

• Experience working with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, WM, EWM, or HCM.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP ABAP or SAP S/4HANA certification is preferred.

Experience

• 4–10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
• Experience in production support and enhancement projects.
