Application Development Project Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead / Test Manager with strong experience in software testing within the life insurance industry . The role will be responsible for test planning, strategy, execution, defect management, test automation, and leading testing activities across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate testing effort based on project requirements and test strategy, and create and maintain comprehensive test plans.
• Define appropriate test approaches, methodologies, techniques, tools, and automation strategies.
• Participate in requirements and backlog review meetings to identify testing requirements and provide a QA perspective.
• Define test activities, including test design, test preparation, execution, and expected results.
• Design and execute system integration and functional test scenarios and test cases.
• Review test cases and results prepared by development teams or external vendors.
• Identify, track, and manage defects using appropriate defect management and communication tools.
• Monitor and report testing progress, risks, issues, and overall test status.
• Drive test automation for regression testing and maintain reusable test cases and automation scripts.
• Conduct project retrospectives and contribute to continuous improvement using the PDCA cycle.
• Lead and coordinate testing activities across development and maintenance teams.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development and/or software testing.
• 5+ years of project experience within the life insurance industry , including software development or testing.
• Experience as a Test Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership role in development or testing projects.
• Experience with Agile development and/or testing methodologies .
• Strong knowledge of life insurance business processes and products .
