Application Engineer - Automation & Power Distribution

Are you passionate about automation, power distribution, and customer-focused engineering solutions? We are looking for a Regional Application Engineer to support sales growth and deliver technical expertise across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage automation tenders, proposals, and technical submissions.
• Provide technical and commercial support to regional sales teams and distributors.
• Prepare quotations, technical documentation, and solution proposals for customers.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training sessions.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and project teams to support business growth.
• Support project handover from sales to contract execution teams.
• Build strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders across the region.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor technologies, and emerging automation solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in Automation, SCADA, RTU, Protection Systems, or Switchgear.
• Strong understanding of power distribution networks and automation solutions.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals/tenders.
• Ability to present technical solutions to customers and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia and internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear and Electrical Distribution Systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA, RTU, communication systems, and automation design.
• Project Management experience.
• Understanding of contract terms and tendering processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting utility, industrial, or infrastructure customers.
