Application Engineer

About the role

Under general supervision, responsible in providing daily support for the direct sales force in the areas of applications, proposal work and order processing/management. Specifically, this would include review of pump specifications, proposal preparation, providing technical support to customers, interfacing with vendors, order processing and expediting.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals
• Prepare proposals using online software from principal suppliers
• Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment
• Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise
• Act as a liaison between operations and sales / customers
• Participate in sales calls with Sales as part of the development process
• Provide technical support to customers on issues
• Attend pre-award meetings or technical discussions as required
• Effectively communicate with Sales on account-by-account status
• Actively participate in discussions on pricing strategies with Sales

About you

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent technical degree preferred
