Caron Engineering is a small but growing company working in the global CNC machine industry. We develop and produce accessories that allow CNC machines to work smarter and more efficiently for some of the largest and most advanced companies in the world.

We are seeking a detailed-oriented full-time application engineer who would be responsible for all duties related to converting customers’ requirements into installed software. Any required training on these products and related services would be supplied by the company. You’ll primarily support our MiConnect platform—our powerful graphical programming environment for smart automation integration—with the opportunity to expand into other Caron Engineering technologies like AutoComp. This role combines hands-on problem-solving, system configuration, customer interaction, and documentation to deliver high-performance, real-world applications.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibility of this role will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• The job will mainly focus on the support of our MiConnect product but will expand to other CEI products.
• This includes learning and understanding all system components, system options and the programming environment to set up and configure systems for all our customer’s needs.
• It will require the ability to produce a flow chart for each process, documentation of all features and programming of the application in our graphical programming environment.
• It is also intended that you will eventually learn and support our AutoComp software and be able to assist in the support that our integrators require.
• Communication – keep the Office Admin and/or purchase agent informed of all pertinent activities; Must also be able to communicate accurately and pleasantly with on-site customer contacts to support any Q&A or troubleshooting (on-site or phone/email); solid verbal and written skills are necessary
• Assist with product testing and documentation
• Maintain your online calendar work schedule (jobs, travel, etc.)
• Comfortable with handling all travel arrangements including hotels, your personal automobile, and commercial flights
• Comfortable with accurately tracking and reporting all time and expenses for customer visits and shop work
• A pleasant personality is necessary as you spend a lot of time at customer locations
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and self-directed, plus have the ability to work closely with senior management and corporation officers

QUALIFICATIONS (IF REQUIRED)

• Internal – qualification initiated from CEI – experience at other position(s), training, etc.

o A solid background / education in the electrical engineering or mechanical engineering

o Extensive knowledge in computer programming is major bonus

o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

o Proficient with flow chart design software (Visio or equivalent)

o Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

o Great organization and time management skills External – degrees, certifications, and experience –

o Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred. o Basic understanding of flowchart design preferred.

o Familiarity with core programming concepts such as variables, control flow, and logic structures preferred.

o Maintain an active driver’s license, usable automobile (presentable, registered, insured, secure) for remote work assignments

o Active passport and immunization for international trave

Salary & Benefits

· Starting salary of $55,000 to $70,000 dependent on experience and education
