Application Engineer

About the role

The Application Engineer supports the Product Department by developing new product models, preparing and maintaining technical drawings, and converting customer requirements into practical engineering solutions. The role is responsible for learning new products, technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes while supporting new product introduction, validation activities, and technical documentation. The position works closely with customers and cross-functional teams including Sales, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Purchasing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new product models based on customer requirements and technical feasibility
• Support prototype development, product validation, testing, sampling, and product launch activities
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects and product approval processes
• Prepare, review, and revise 2D and 3D engineering drawings
• Define specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawing records
• Continuously learn new products, materials, applications, and manufacturing technologies
• Analyze operating conditions and recommend suitable engineering solutions
• Support customers and internal teams with product selection, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
• Communicate technical information effectively in English and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and international stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering, or related discipline)
• Experience in application engineering, product development, product design, technical support, or manufacturing is preferred
• Fresh graduates with strong technical drawing skills, English communication ability, and learning agility may also be considered
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and technical drawing software
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical drawings
• Capability to develop new models and learn new products quickly
• Knowledge of carbon brushes and related applications is an advantage
