Application Engineer

About the role

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, product solutions, and engineering assistance to customers. The role involves understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate industrial and pneumatic equipment, preparing technical proposals, and supporting the sales team in developing suitable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer applications, technical requirements, and operating conditions.
• Recommend appropriate industrial and pneumatic products based on customer needs.
• Provide technical consultation and product presentations to customers.
• Prepare technical quotations, proposals, specifications, and product recommendations.
• Conduct site visits to assess equipment, applications, and customer requirements.
• Assist the Sales Engineer/Sales Executive in identifying and developing technical solutions.
• Perform product selection, sizing, and basic calculations when required.
• Conduct product demonstrations, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support before and after sales.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications, availability, and technical concerns.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in industrial equipment, pneumatic systems, automation, or related products is an advantage.
• Knowledge of pneumatic components, industrial equipment, and basic engineering principles.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to conduct customer visits and site inspections.
• Willing to travel when required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving for customer visits, if applicable.
• Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office and other engineering-related software.
