Application Engineer (Electrical)

KBK Electronics (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated and technically competent Application Engineer (Electrical) to support the design, implementation, and execution of Smart Metering, AMI, Distribution Automation, and Energy Management projects.

Lahore (Occasional Travel Required)

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, and bid documentation.
• Develop system architectures and technical solutions for Smart Metering and AMI projects.
• Provide technical support during project execution, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Coordinate with utilities, consultants, vendors, and project teams on technical matters.
• Conduct technical evaluations of equipment, drawings, and engineering documents.
• Support prototype approvals, type testing, and product certifications.
• Prepare technical presentations, reports, method statements, and project documentation.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to field engineers and installation teams.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues encountered during project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, utility standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

• B.Sc. Electrical Engineering / B.E. Electrical Engineering (PEC Registered Only).

Experience

• Familiarity with utility standards, metering systems, communication technologies, and distribution networks will be an advantage.

Skills Required

• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and energy metering.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with customers.
