Application Engineer II, OSM(AMI)

About the role

Provide applications and services support to customers and distributors in the region for T&I-OSM products. Provide application and technical support and expertise to distributors and customers to ensure proper installation and smooth running of equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement inspection and metrology solutions utilizing SAT/C-AM (Scanning Acoustic Tomography) systems for semiconductor, advanced packaging, and electronic component applications.
• Create technical application proposals, feasibility studies, and solution presentations for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations, application development, and process optimization to demonstrate system capabilities and customer value.
• Provide applications, technical support, and training to regional customers and distributors teams.
• Review customer requirements, industry standards, competitive technologies, and internal product capabilities to determine compliance with application and metrology specifications.
• Develop, execute, and validate SAT/C-AM inspection methodologies for defect detection, failure analysis, material characterization, and dimensional metrology.
• Perform system testing, validation, and correlation studies to ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and process capability.
• Investigate inspection anomalies, process deviations, and field issues, providing root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, and engineering teams to define new application requirements and enhance system performance.
• Support customer demonstrations, acceptance testing, and production deployment activities.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline, or a combination of education and work experience.
• At least five years of relevant work experience, ideally in an application or technical field support role, with machine vision experience, or related fields strongly preferred.
