Application Engineer (Mechanical Design/ Power/ M&E)

Our client is an Japan MNC company in the Construction industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Application Engineer (Mechanical) to join their Engineering team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team.

They are located in Town – easily accessible via various modes of transport.

Job Description:

• Design genset skid bases, fuel tanks, and canopy enclosures in accordance with customer requirements and project specifications.

• Collaborate with regional vendors and manufacturers to select and specify suitable mechanical equipment, including:

  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Chillers
  • Sequence of Operations (SOO) and control systems
  • Fire detection and suppression systems

• Review, evaluate, and approve equipment submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Work closely with the Sales team and customers during technical discussions and meetings.

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to optimize system integration, installation, and overall design.

• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Management team to source suitable equipment and obtain competitive pricing.

• Ensure all designs and equipment selections comply with tender requirements and project specifications.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Singapore Standards (SS) and relevant international standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, M&E, HVAC, genset, or related project engineering.
• Experience in the design and engineering of genset systems, skid bases, fuel tanks, and canopy enclosures will be an advantage.
