Application Engineer (West, Power Generation & Gensets)

Responsibilities

• Conduct project feasibility studies and propose suitable technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• Review tender specifications and develop compliant technical proposals.
• Perform site surveys and recommend system integration solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and consultants to optimize project specifications and installation designs.
• Evaluate requests for non-standard gensets and equipment to ensure technical and commercial feasibility.
• Respond promptly to technical pre-sales enquiries and project requirements.
• Prepare project cost estimations, including non-standard products, M&E works, and solution-based offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess project feasibility and recommend alternative solutions.
• Support quotation preparation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams and vendors during pre-sales project development.
• Provide technical pre-sales support and product guidance to distributors and dealers.
• Maintain documentation and processes in accordance with ISO requirements.
• Support technical training, service activities, and other assigned responsibilities.
• Contribute to achieving departmental and organizational sales objectives through effective technical support.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 4 years of relevant experience in technical solutions, application engineering, or a similar role may also be considered.
• Experience in project feasibility studies, tender submissions, and technical proposal preparation.
• Knowledge of power generation systems, engines, or gensets is an added advantage.
• Experience conducting site surveys and developing system integration proposals.
• Ability to prepare project cost estimations and evaluate technical-commercial feasibility.
• Familiarity with non-standard equipment configurations and customized engineering solutions.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
