Application Expert, Electronics

Position Summary

• Capture emerging market trends and develop new applications to drive long-term growth.
• Execute the global electronics business strategy and deliver electronics sales targets.
• Collaborate with and support the global sales organization to jointly achieve sales objectives.
• Transfer electronics domain knowledge to global sales and application teams.
• Customer-centric mindset, strong influencing skills, high sense of accountability and team spirit.

Main Tasks

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drive global development of new electronics application workflows
• New electronics applications development in SEM/FIB cross global
• Collaborate closely with HQ BU IMS teams to refine and customize inspection/analysis solutions, translating market and key customer technical requirements into new product roadmap for long-term growth
• Own high-level technical engagement for electronics key accounts; lead complex failure analysis proof-of-concept trials, resolve critical technical bottlenecks and root-cause challenges.
• Provide cross-regional / cross-functional technical consulting, lead global technical workshops and customer executive alignment meetings.
• Develop global application knowledge assets (application, demo cases, value proposition materials), roll out capability training to global sales & application teams.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor or above degree
• Electronics / Semiconductor / Material related background preferred

Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of SEM/FIB industry or related experiences.
• Deep hands-on experience in electronics / semiconductor industry, solid understanding of customer product roadmap, pain points and technical specifications
• Proven track record of solving highly complex FA root-cause challenges for key strategic customers
• Experience developing application solutions, technical demos and whitepapers for advanced electronics applications
• Prior experience cross-functionally aligning with global R&D, product and sales teams

• Excellent English and Chinese proficiency for global meeting & technical presentation
• Self-driven, able to independently define technical strategy and application roadmap
• In-depth insight into electronics technical requirements, industry bottlenecks and competitor technology roadmap
• Outstanding cross-region communication, alignment and influencing capability
• Strong technical presentation, solution design and customer negotiation skills
• Able to lead complex technical workshops with top-tier customers
• Willing to take frequent business trips globally
