Application Infrastructure Engineer | Web, OpenShift & GKE

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Application Infrastructure Engineer to join its enterprise application infrastructure and systems team.

This hands-on role focuses on the implementation, maintenance, availability, and operational support of Web, Application, and telephony platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will work closely with Development, QA, and external vendors, supporting application deployments, infrastructure operations, automation, and the reliability of business-critical systems.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain Web and Application Server environments, including WebSphere, IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and PHP-based applications
• Support the implementation and ongoing operation of Web, Application, and telephony platforms
• Coordinate application deployments, version releases, and post-deployment validation
• Ensure the availability and operational stability of application infrastructure
• Provide technical support and infrastructure guidance to Development, QA, and external vendors
• Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines for application deployment processes
• Write scripts and automation solutions using Bash, PowerShell, Perl, VB, and Terraform as needed
• Work with different operating systems and cloud infrastructure environments
• Support application infrastructure running on OpenShift and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and maintenance guidelines
• Work with internet-facing security and networking components
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related application issues
• Support operational requirements outside standard working hours when needed

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with Web and Application Server technologies , such as WebSphere, IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and PHP environments
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift
• Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and application infrastructure
• Experience working with different operating systems
• Experience writing scripts using PowerShell, VB, Perl, and/or Bash
• Familiarity with internet security and networking technologies
• Ability to write technical documentation and operational procedures
• Strong independent learning capabilities and ability to work across multiple technical teams
• Willingness to support demanding operational environments, including occasional work outside regular business hours
