Application Manager

• Responsible for managing the organization's portfolio of business applications, overseeing the lifecycle performance, security, ensuring their availability, continuous improvement and applications support.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors to ensure applications meet organizational needs and operate efficiently.

• System Enhancement & Development

  • Plan and coordinate application upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Assist the Business Analyst in the execution of the feasibility study of proposed projects by evaluating proposals and recommending the best solution.
  • Conducts high-level gap analysis of proposed systems against Business Requirement Document (BRD).
  • Review and approves the Software Requirements Specification (SRS) and design of IT software development projects.

• Application Management

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of business applications.
  • Provide 2nd level support for business-as-usual (BAU) functions.
  • Ensure applications meet business and user requirements.
  • Ensure applications comply with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain application roadmap and lifecycle plans.

• Service Delivery & Support

  • Manage application support teams and vendors.
  • Ensure incidents, problems, and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate incident, problem, and change management activities.
  • Lead root cause analysis for major application incidents.
  • Track and ensure that application availability, reliability, and performance are in line with service level agreements (SLAs).

• Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the bridge between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Project Management

  • Lead application-related projects, including implementations, migrations, and integrations.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.

• Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure applications comply with security standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate audits, access reviews, and risk assessments.

• Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage relationships with software suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and negotiate contracts when required.

Qualifications:

• College Degree – IT Related Course from a Reputable School

• Good communication skills

• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the field of Information Technology focusing on system analysis, design and development.

• At least five (5) years engagement in project management and implementation of various banking systems with major roles.

• Experience on .Net Technology, Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres, AS400
