Application Platform & Operations IT Analyst

Job Summary

Designs, develops, and supports solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Works in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal education. In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding. It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas
• Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet requirements
• Documents detailed designs
• Builds, tests and implements application objects
• Assists with issue resolution
• Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT discipline preferred and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills

• On premise and cloud deployment/upgrade experience
• Good expertise within DevSecOps practices
• Azure DevOps / GitHub
• AKS / Containers
• Strong working experience in a cloud environment (Azure)
• Automation and scripting skills like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC templates
• CI/CD pipeline experience is a plus
• Visual Studio and Git
• Linux administration experience is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Development skills - development lifecycle, tools, and patterns; prior development background is a plus
• Knowledge with C#, Python, scripting
• Secure coding knowledge is a plus (vulnerability management)
• Networking skills / knowledge - firewall rules, etc.
• AI skills - building and using agents, MCP
• Continuous learning to stay on top of industry best practices and trends
