Application Production Support Analyst

Join a global financial services firm as an Application Production Support Analyst supporting business-critical applications and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for application support issues, service requests, and user inquiries.
• Monitor production systems and investigate alerts to ensure platform stability and availability.
• Manage and coordinate production incidents through to resolution, providing timely stakeholder updates.
• Perform issue analysis, troubleshooting, and escalation where required.
• Support problem management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
• Participate in change management processes, including review and validation of production changes.
• Work closely with global support teams to provide seamless follow-the-sun coverage.
• Maintain clear documentation, handovers, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, support processes, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or related work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in application support, production support, service desk, or a similar operations role.
• Technical aptitude. Exposure to infrastructure components and basic scripting is an advantage.
• Experience with production management disciplines, including knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best
• practices
• Experience with ServiceNow, or a similar tool, for Incidents and Problems tracking is preferred.
• Exposure to SWIFT messaging, file transfer, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence
• Strong analytical, problem solving and logical thinking skills
• Readiness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience working with a global team
