APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT

Position Purpose:

This position is for Application Production Support - Reconciliation IT within Client Engagement and Financial Security - Reconciliation APS team. The primary purpose is to be accountable for all Production support activities of CEFS APS Reconciliation team

As APS member, own the end-to-end operational stability, resilience, performance, and continuous improvement of global, complex CIB applications critical to CEFS Reconciliation team . This role demands deep expertise in Platform Availability, IT Service Management (ITSM), automation and drive operational excellence, risk reduction, and cost efficiency across a multi-geography

This role demands partnering with high-performing global teams i.e. Engineering , Development, Infrastructure, Security, and ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and CIB standards while fostering a culture of innovation, automation, and talent development .

The position operates within a virtual, multinational team and requires collaboration with other BNP Paribas locations and divisions. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, sharp analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Perform well industrialized application support tasks and industrialize further tasks:
• Monitoring and alerting
• User support management
• Technical investigation and resolution of support issues
• Incident, Problem and Change management
• Resiliency / Disaster activity
• Release / deployments
• Request management
• Document and execute the regular system checks at various points in the day.
• Build up the documentation for further enhancement of the process.
• Follow all local policies for coming in shifts, weekend checks and releases.
• Take Ownership in Crisis, extra commitment in the gaps when many resources are on vacation/leave.
• Attend standups (whiteboard) and ensure smooth handover between the shifts.
• Ensure process improvement at Service Management level– Thorough understand and follow the process for ITSM, Incident and Problem Management
• Participate in BCP working; Ensure strong governance and control
• Ensure established functions raise the bar a notch above via continuous improvement and level up by automating repetitive tasks.
• Participate in team shifts, weekend releases and Holiday coverage.
• Ensure all reported incidents are correctly logged, investigated, understood, explained, and followed up to avoid reoccurrence.
• Leverage Dynatrace or comparable monitoring tools for performance analysis and alerting

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Oracle/MS SQL with Linux
• Good to have knowledge of DIM (Intellimatch) tool
• Strong knowledge of APM Tools i.e., Dynatrace etc.
• Write and maintain automation scripts (Shell/Python) for routine operational tasks
• Good knowledge on Python
• Good understanding of observability tools i.e., Grafana / Prometheus
• Ability to work with various APS, Development, Operations stakeholders, locally and globally

Minimum 3 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree

Prior experience in Application Production Support domain.
