Application Support Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an IT-focused Application Support Specialist to support the launch of a new proprietary application across UK locations. Experience with the application is not expected; the ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong troubleshooting, communication, and ticket-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for application issues, access problems, and user questions.
• Troubleshoot incidents and resolve issues when possible.
• Escalate complex problems with complete technical details and documentation.
• Create, prioritize, update, and track tickets through resolution.
• Communicate status updates and next steps to users.
• Document common issues, solutions, and support procedures.
• Identify recurring problems and report trends to senior support or development teams.

Qualifications

• Previous IT, help desk, technical support, or application-support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting software or business applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and escalation procedures.
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
• Experience supporting an application rollout or internally developed system is preferred.
