What they need

If you like fast-paced, people-facing work where your effort directly shows up in the results, you’ll fit right in. As an Application Specialist in the insurance industry, you’ll be the person who initiates contact with prospective customers, keeps them engaged, and helps them complete an application—clearly, accurately, and without unnecessary delays.

This is a high-call, high-follow-up role built for someone who’s comfortable on the phone, knows how to earn trust quickly, and can turn questions or hesitation into forward progress. You’ll collect and verify policy/application details, keep accurate notes, and when a prospect meets the right criteria, you’ll route them through a qualified transfer to the appropriate team member for next steps.

Duties

  • Outbound contact & follow-up: Place a large volume of outbound calls (and other outreach as needed) to prospective customers, maintaining timely follow-up and a professional tone.
  • Application completion support: Lead customers through the application questions, ensure required details are captured correctly, and keep the process moving toward completion.
  • Handle concerns & move prospects forward: Respond to questions, work through objections, and help qualified individuals take the next step—including completing qualified transfers when appropriate.
  • Accurate tracking & documentation: Record outcomes, status updates, and key details in internal systems/CRM while managing daily tasks, reminders, and pipeline activity.
  • Consistency, standards & teamwork: Use approved talk tracks and any applicable guidelines, coordinate with internal partners to improve the customer experience, and meet performance targets tied to quality, volume, and conversion.

Qualifications

  • Education & experience: High school diploma/GED required; at least 1 year of experience in a professional setting (customer service, inside sales, support, contact center, or office administration).
  • Communication strengths: Clear, confident verbal communication with strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Work habits: Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, metric-driven environment.
  • Technical comfort: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience using a CRM platform (Salesforce or similar preferred).
  • Reliability: Consistent follow-through, strong accountability, and a team-first mindset.

Hourly: $18.50/hr
