Application Specialist / Technical Support

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Application Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a science-driven individual with expertise in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, biology, or chemistry, who enjoys translating complex technical knowledge into practical solutions for clients.

As an Application Specialist, you will serve as a technical expert, supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, R&D, and product management to deliver outstanding application support, product demonstrations, and training across a portfolio of scientific instruments or services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and consultation to customers and internal stakeholders across the biopharma, pharma, and life sciences sectors.
• Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops to showcase capabilities and applications.
• Collaborate with sales teams during customer visits, tenders, and technical discussions.
• Analyze customer workflows and recommend appropriate solutions based on technical needs.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments (e.g., R&D, Product Management) for application feedback and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in a laboratory, technical support, or applications role (preferably in biopharma or pharma sectors).

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques or relevant biotech tools and workflows.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to travel
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical support or product application in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, GLP, ICH).
• Proficiency in scientific writing and documentation.
• Have an understanding of ISO9001:2015
• Have an understanding of ISO17025:2017
