Application Support Azure Engineer

About The Role In this role, you will help ensure the stability, availability, and performance of production environments by supporting critical platform and infrastructure operations. You will join a team responsible for maintaining Kubernetes-based systems, resolving complex incidents, and improving operational excellence across applications, databases, and messaging services. Your work will directly contribute to reliable service delivery and a smooth experience for end users.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support production Kubernetes environments, ensuring platform health, availability, and operational stability
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, platform, and application issues while minimizing service disruption and supporting business continuity
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve deployment workflows, support processes, and production reliability
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and escalation activities to ensure timely resolution of production issues
• Administer and support RabbitMQ clusters, maintaining reliable messaging services and resolving performance or availability concerns
• Troubleshoot PostgreSQL database issues related to performance, connectivity, capacity, and availability
• Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational automation practices using appropriate tooling and scripting
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and incident management procedures while contributing to 24/7 production monitoring and on-call activities

Requirements

• Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations with at least 2 years of hands-on production support experience
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support in production environments
• Solid experience with RabbitMQ, including cluster administration, issue investigation, and operational support
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including troubleshooting performance, availability, and database-related incidents
• Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills across servers, services, and operating system components
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and connectivity diagnostics
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools as well as scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar technologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively during incident response activities and communicate in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and knowledge of GitOps practices as an advantage
