Application Support – CPA Project

About the Role

We are looking for an Application Support professional to support the CPA Project and ensure the stability, availability and operational continuity of business-critical applications.

The role will provide first- and second-level application support within a highly controlled, restricted-network environment, covering incident management, troubleshooting, system monitoring, deployment support, change management and operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for business-critical applications within an air-gapped/restricted network.
• Identify, triage and troubleshoot application issues including service outages, performance issues, error messages and login/access problems.
• Monitor application and platform health using on-premises/local monitoring tools.
• Perform basic operational activities such as service restarts, log checks and resource checks.
• Escalate incidents and anomalies to the appropriate technical teams in accordance with established procedures.
• Support secure and approved transfer of code releases, patches and logs across restricted/air-gapped environments.
• Follow chain-of-custody procedures for approved removable media, transfer stations or other authorised transfer mechanisms.
• Assist with application deployments, patches and version upgrades in offline or restricted-network environments.
• Support basic root-cause investigation by gathering logs, reproducing issues and documenting findings.
• Maintain and update application support documentation, runbooks and knowledge-base articles.
• Support user access management, environment configuration and minor data fixes where required.
• Participate in change management activities and ensure changes are properly tested, approved and documented before implementation.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, changes, transfers and operational activities for audit and compliance purposes.
• Follow strict physical and information security controls, including access logging and controlled-media handling.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure/platform teams and business stakeholders to resolve application issues.

Requirements

• Malaysian citizen.
• Experience in Application Support, Production Support, Technical Support or System Support.
• Basic familiarity with Linux/RHEL environments.
• Exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift or container platforms.
• Familiarity with Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS) or other private/hybrid cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Basic SQL skills for data querying and troubleshooting.
• General understanding of application architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs and databases.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly incident, problem and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good documentation habits with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable following strict procedural runbooks and operational controls.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work within strict physical and logical access controls.
• Willingness to undergo security clearance/vetting where required.
• Comfortable working in an onsite and highly controlled environment.
