An international IT service & solutions provider is seeking a technically skilled Application Support Engineer (Manufacturing Systems,Siemens OpsCenter MOM & Ignition SCADA) in Liberty/Greensboro NC area to ensure stability, reliability, and high performance across our mission-critical applications.

This role demands a deep understanding of application supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MOM), SCADA platforms, and integrated manufacturing applications in a production environment, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, system reliability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for Siemens Opcenter MOM and Ignition SCADA
• Troubleshoot application, interface, and data-related issues
• Monitor application performance and support production operations
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring issues
• Support MES/MOM production workflows, traceability, and shop floor processes
• Maintain and enhance Ignition SCADA applications, dashboards, alarms, and reports
• Support application deployments, upgrades, testing, and production cutovers
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Automation, Quality, and IT teams
• Identify opportunities for system reliability and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of application support experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting MES/MOM, SCADA, or other manufacturing applications
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter MOM/Execution and/or Ignition SCADA preferred
• Experience with SQL, REST APIs, Web Services, and basic scripting (Python, Java, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a continuous improvement mindset
• Other: Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with occasional travel.
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
