Application Support Engineer – Fixed Income / Repo

Seoul, South Korea

We are hiring an experienced Application Support Engineer to take ownership of business-critical trading platforms supporting the Korean Bond and REPO markets .

This is a highly visible role within a global financial markets organisation, working as part of an APAC technology and operations team while acting as the key point of contact for the Seoul business.

You will support platforms used directly across Korean fixed-income trading, working closely with local users, regional technology teams and external application vendors.

The role

You will:

• Provide L1/L2 production and application support for Korean Bond and REPO trading platforms
• Own incidents from initial investigation through to resolution and post-incident review
• Act as the primary liaison between the Seoul team and external application vendors
• Manage platform issues, escalations, releases, upgrades and production changes
• Work closely with front-office users and regional technology teams across APAC
• Monitor platform health and proactively identify operational or technical risks
• Build a strong understanding of Korean fixed-income market workflows and trade lifecycles
• Ensure changes are managed through appropriate incident and change-control processes

What we are looking for

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• 5+ years of Application Support, Production Support or Trading Systems Support experience
• Experience within investment banking, securities, brokerage or capital markets
• Exposure to Fixed Income, Bonds, Rates, REPO/RP or FICC
• Experience supporting live, business-critical trading or financial applications
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with third-party technology vendors
• Fluency in both Korean and English
• The ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Experience with trading platforms, market data, middle-office systems or the wider fixed-income trade lifecycle would be highly advantageous.
